EVENSONGS FOR THE SOUL: Chant and Cello in Concert Improvisations

DAVID DARLING, Grammy award winning cellist
NORMA GENTILE, vocalist and sound shaman

Fri., June 11 Holy Trinity Toronto Sat., June 12 Harcourt Church Guelph

Fresh from winning the 2010 Grammy for Best New Age Album, eclectic composer/cellist David Darling joins with vocalist and sound shaman Norma Gentile in two evenings of spontaneous music-making. Norma’s soprano voice dances with David’s sonorous cello improvisations in music ranging from medieval chants of Hildegard von Bingen to contemporary classical, pop, jazz and new age styles.

This program is offered twice; Friday, June 11 at 8pm in downtown Toronto at The Church of the Holy Trinity (10 Trinity Square, across from the Eaton Centre) and Saturday, June 12 at 8pm in Guelph at Harcourt Memorial United Church, 87 Dean Avenue, Guelph, Ontario N1G 1L3.

Tickets for both events are $25. They are available in advance online at www.healingchants.com, or at the door starting 30 minutes before each concert.
